ABOUT THE OPEN MIC<\/h3>\n

VoiceBox<\/strong> is a monthly series of open mic nights for teens hosted by the Jason Taylor Foundation<\/strong> in partnership with the ArtServe<\/strong><\/a>. Usually held on the last Friday of every month, VoiceBox is currently held in person and runs from 7 to 9 pm<\/strong>, with sign-ups beginning at 6:30 pm<\/strong>. VoiceBox is a SAFE SPACE<\/strong> and a CLEAN MIC<\/strong>. No profanity, racist, homophobic, gender-biased, or otherwise derogatory language is permitted.<\/p>\n

Poets, singers, musicians, comedians, actors, and other talented teens are invited to perform, joining emcee Just John<\/strong> and DJ Pr\u0113c<\/strong> setting the vibe. Adults, parents, and educators are encouraged to attend but open mic performers will be limited to middle and high school students.<\/div>\n

THIS MONTH’S HOSTS<\/h3>\n

The hosts for this month’s VoiceBox open mic will be poetry clubs from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School<\/strong> and Nova High School<\/strong> so come out and support these clubs in their fundraising efforts by purchasing food, drinks, and snacks at the concessions booth.<\/p>\n
