Hosted by <strong>Old Navy\u00a0at Tower Shops<\/strong> in Davie, the program provides each child with a <strong>$300 gift card<\/strong> and pairs him or her\u00a0with a Miami Dolphins player, cheerleader or other local celebrity who assists with the selection of clothing\u00a0during the\u00a0one-hour shopping spree. In addition to hosting the event, Old Navy also graciously hosts a party for the kids prior to their shopping experience complete with food and drink, a DJ and even a special appearance by Miami Dolphins mascot &#8220;TD&#8221;. The program\u2019s purpose is to help build self-esteem and eliminate an unnecessary distraction, allowing each child to focus on his or her studies and not their attire while at school.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Since launching the \u201cCool Gear for the School Year\u201d program in 2005, the Jason Taylor Foundation has provided <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">nearly $300,000<\/span><\/strong> in clothing to <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">more than 900 deserving young people<\/span><\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Jason Taylor Foundation is currently on a campaign to raise <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>$18,000<\/strong><\/span> in an effort to once again provide this unique experience to 60 of South Florida\u2019s most needy and deserving kids.
