2025 Community Hall of Fame Honorees:

Michael Berry

Michael Berry has demonstrated exceptional dedication to both his academic pursuits and community service. A senior at the School for Advanced Studies Homestead Campus, Michael is also on track to graduate with an Associate in Arts degree from Miami-Dade College. Inspired by young people leading change in the summer of 2020, Michael desired to create a space where kids could feel safe, express themselves, and find a sense of belonging. This inspiration became reality when Michael launched “Boys That Bake,” a club that empowers young boys, particularly those transitioning from elementary to middle school, by combining baking with social-emotional learning and anti-bullying initiatives. His efforts have helped dismantle gender stereotypes and foster confidence and resilience among his peers. Michael’s leadership extends to various awards and recognition, including a second-place finish in the NFTE Business Competition, a perfect attendance record, and the Homestead City Hall Recognition Award for his community service. His commitment to mentorship and community building through Boys That Bake continues to have a lasting impact, inspiring young boys to embrace entrepreneurship and emotional growth.

Alyssa Greenspan

As Chief Executive Officer and President of Community Capital Management, Alyssa Greenspan believes in using her platform and resources to support initiatives that foster economic empowerment, education, affordable housing, and sustainability. Whether through impact investing, nonprofit board service, or volunteer work, she is committed to making a tangible difference in people’s lives. At CCM, she integrates purpose into everything the firm does, ensuring its investments create lasting societal benefits. Alyssa also dedicates her time to community organizations, lending her expertise to initiatives that strengthen neighborhoods and provide opportunities for underserved populations. From mentoring young students and advocating for equitable housing to supporting small businesses and championing financial literacy, her goal is always to uplift others. Alyssa is actively involved with Women United of the United Way of Broward County, which empowers and educates women of all ages, and Junior Achievement’s Circle of Wise Women. She actively volunteers with various nonprofit organizations in South Florida and encourages all CCM employees to give back to their communities through volunteering and service.

Nat Moore

One of the most celebrated players in Miami Dolphins history and a longtime team executive, Nat Moore played his entire 13-year NFL career with the team, earning All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors and helping the Dolphins reach Super Bowls XVII and XIX. Nat’s impact, however, extends far beyond football. Dedicated to giving back to the South Florida community he grew up in, Moore’s philanthropic efforts led him to be named the 1984 Miami Dolphins “Man of the Year” and earned him the 1986 Byron White Humanitarian Award for his service to his team, community, and country. Upon retiring from football in 1987, Dolphins Founder, Joe Robbie, renamed the team’s community service award in Nat’s honor and in 1998, he founded The Nat Moore Foundation to support nonprofits that serve children and youth that had limited capacity to raise adequate funding for their missions. For more than 10 years, Nat hosted football clinics at local parks to provide underserved children and youth in the South Florida community with the opportunity to learn how to play football in a fun and safe environment. In 2018, the Miami Dolphins partnered with him to create the Nat Moore Scholarship & Grant Endowment, which has awarded over $2 million to local students.
