The Jason Taylor Careers in Sports Network provides South Florida high school students with equitable access to resources and best practices in the sports industry, preparing them for future educational and career opportunities within the business of sports.

Each of our Careers in Sports member schools receive podcasting equipment as well as supporting texts and collateral materials. Additionally, thanks to a partnership with RedCircle, we can host unlimited podcasts for our schools at no cost.

Twice a month during the school year, the Careers in Sports Network invites top-end industry professionals engage in a virtual conversation with program leadership and students across our network. Students have the opportunity to ask questions about careers they hope to pursue and how others achieved those goals.

Through a partnership with the Broward Education Foundation, students will have the opportunity to participate in FREE intensive sports statisticians’ courses and then apply the skills as official statisticants for events like the Kreul Basketball Classic and Broward Football Showcase.

Each year, all students participating in our programming are invited to an annual conference where they learn from industry leaders, participate in interactive workshops, and network with their peers from other schools. In 2026, the conference was hosted by St. Thomas University’s Sports Administration program.

Each year, a students can apply to participate in the Jason Taylor Foundation’s FREE, week-long summer institute. Students visit athletic associations for multiple local universities (including University of Miami, NSU, Barry, St. Thomas University, and FAU), and also visit with sports related teams and businesses including WQAM, the Florida Panthers, etc.

Students from our network volunteer at our annual events including the Community Hall of Fame Dinner, Whiffle Blast, and Cool Gear for the School Year, gaining valuable experience in both broadcasting and event management. Students interview guests on the red carpet, cover the event, interview guests and participants, and help in all areas of the event’s operation.
