"I'm Not A Thug" by Just John, Marnino & Chris Mazzara - Jason Taylor Foundation

“”, an original poem written and performed by Just John, Marnino & Chris Mazzara

Poet Just John has teamed up with South Plantation High School educator and poet Christopher Mazzara and South Florida artist, educator and activist Marnino to bring us this insightful piece on how different perspectives affect the way protestors are perceived. Sparked by what they’ve seen by participating in the George Floyd protests, these three came together and created “I’m Not A Thug,” the title and concept of which also get its inspiration from Joyner Lucas’ “I’m Not A Racist”. “Whether people be radical, peaceful, or what have you, we wanted to show that we’re all still marching for the same purpose.” #JournalingForJustice
