“Shakespeare”, an original poem written and performed by Nyah, then a junior from Cypress Bay High School – From the 2018 Louder Than A Bomb Florida Indy Finals, presented by Ultimate Software.
Poet @nyahterrilyn says she wrote this piece because of her faith in today’s artists, particularly today’s artists of color. She feels as though the next creative genius can come from anywhere and can be anyone—it’s about the talent they hold. She wanted to speak on the talent in communities that tend to be overlooked, and wrote “Shakespeare” in vocal support of those communities, those emerging artists, and the potential she sees in them. #JournalingForJustice
