#SpotlightTuesday: JTF Partners Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood and Kuro - Jason Taylor Foundation

Every Tuesday, the Jason Taylor Foundation dedicates the day to spotlighting one of our partners, volunteers, or celebrity friends that have supported our tireless efforts toward building a brighter future for the youth of the South Florida community.

This week the Jason Taylor Foundation would like to shine some light on our friends at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood and their newest culinary innovation, Kuro.

The Hard Rock is one of the JTF’s longest standing partnerships, dating back to, well, before the Hard Rock was actually standing! Even in its pre-construction phase in 2004, the leadership team at the Hard Rock, along with members of the Seminole Tribe of Florida Tribal Counsel, learned of the work Jason Taylor was doing in the South Florida community and made a commitment to support his efforts to build a better future for children in need.

That commitment has never waivered as the area’s ultimate destination for fun and entertainment annually serves host to many of the Jason Taylor Foundation’s key special events and programs, while also providing critical support towards the JTF’s mission and purpose.

“The Seminole Hard Rock supports numerous events in the South Florida community. One we especially follow are the efforts of the Jason Taylor Foundation and the diverse and many ways they are changing the lives of children,” said Susan Renneisen, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Vice President Community Affairs and Special Events.

On February 21, the Seminole Hard Rock will present and host the 13th annual Jason Taylor Celebrity Golf Classic Charity Dinner & Auction at their new-style Japanese restaurant, Kuro. The stunning, 9,500 square-foot open-theater designed restaurant boasts sweeping views of the kitchen, a sushi bar, lounge and outdoor patio.

Dinner invite full

Kuro offers kaiseki-style dining, meaning each dish is designed with sharing in mind. This is a traditional multi-course Japanese style of dining that combines taste and texture to create a satisfying, flavorful experience.

Kuro’s fine dining is headed by Executive Chef Alex Becker and Executive Sushi Chef Shuji Hiyakawa. Chef Alex Becker brings an array of knowledge, which he obtained from over twenty years of experience in the restaurant business. Mr. Becker also serves as the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s creative culinary director. Chef Shuji Hivakawa is the protégé of Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto. Chef Shuji began cooking at a young age at his father’s noodle shop in Fukuoka, Japan and has gathered a world of knowledge over the years working as Executive Sushi Chef at Morimoto in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

On the night of February 21st, Jason and many of his celebrity friends will join Foundation friends, family and supporters at Kuro to celebrate the amazing children served by the JTF, and to raise much needed funding for the continued programs and services these children benefit from. Thanks to the generosity of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and the award-winning team at Kuro, the Foundation looks to have another spectacular evening of food, fun and philanthropy.

Limited tickets for the Charity Dinner & Auction are available. Tickets are priced at a $250 donation each, or groups of 10 for $2,000. Please contact the Jason Taylor Foundation at 954.424.0799 for more information.
