Sharifa Shageer, is a young lady whose hard work, determination and altruism embody exactly the qualities that the Jason Taylor Scholars program looks for in its scholars.

Nicholas Baker is the oldest of three siblings. He is currently a senior at Stranahan High School, where he is part of the school’s Medical Magnet Program.

Tanisha Crawford lives with her mother and two older brothers in Lake Park. She is a senior at Suncoast Community High School. Tanisha is involved in many activities. Her favorite subjects are Math and Language Arts and her hobbies include singing, dancing, and drawing.

Jonel Graham is a highly motivated student who graduated from Everglades High School in Miramar.

Oscar Ospina is a fantastic student, with excellent grades and conduct. He just completed the 11th grade at Miami Springs Senior High School where he has set a goal to be accepted to the college of his choice.

Ashley Serjilus lives with her mother and two sisters in West Palm Beach. She is an outgoing, helpful, caring and trustworthy. She graduated from Park Vista Community High School with a 3.9 GPA. During her four years she managed to devote 522 hours to community service.

Shanava Saintolien had an excellent freshman year at William Turner Technical School. She is a very high achiever, earning a 3.7 GPA this pass academic school year.

Roberto Reyes lives with his parents and his two older brothers in Belle Glade. He looks up to his older brothers because they are always encouraging him to be the best he can be and to never give up.

Nohemi Prieto lives in Pahokee and graduated from Pahokee Middle Senior High School.

Luz Perez-Rodriguez lives in West Palm Beach with her mother, father and four siblings. Luz’s dad is sick and unable to work, but the family is getting by with her mother’s hard work and determination.
